CONCENTRATION
Steve is Of Counsel to the Davis Brown Law Firm in the Business Division. He rejoined the firm in June, 2009 and his practice encompasses Business Organization and Transaction, Finance and Securities, and Insurance. Since September of 2009 he has served as Executor Director of the Iowa Insurance Institute, the trade association of Iowa's property-casualty insurance industry.
SUMMARY
Steve rejoined Davis, Brown, Koehn, Shors & Roberts, P.C. in 2009 after retiring with more than 30 years of service with the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation and its affiliated insurance and financial service companies. He was General Counsel to the Iowa Farm Bureau, Farm Bureau Life and Farm Bureau Mutual from 1982-2007. During his tenure he counseled the boards through mergers and other transactions, including its IPO, that led to creation of publicly traded FBL Financial Group and served as both General Counsel and on the Executive Committee of FBL. He had previously been with the Davis Brown Law Firm from 1972-1977.
